Hypotonia

Description

Hypotonia is a condition characterized by a decrease in muscle weight. Hypotonia is not the same as muscle weakness but similar to the weakness of the muscles. This phenomenon is primarily seen in children.

Hypotonia among other causes of trauma, environmental, genetic, muscle, or central nervous system disorders.

Symptom

The most common symptoms of hypotonia is a matter of posture, difficulty breathing, and lethargic.

Treatment

Treatment depends on the cause. The first treatment is to cure the cause, only then is symptomatic and supportive therapy.
