Lambert-Eaton syndrome characterized by muscle weakness by increasing contraction of the muscle. Lambert-Eaton syndrome (myasthenic syndrome) represents a disorder with symptoms very similar to myasthenia gravis. There is muscle weakness associated with disturbed communication between nerves and muscles.

Symptom

Weakness / paralysis that varies in severity, his head drooping, difficulty climbing stairs, difficulty lifting objects, need to use arms to stand from sitting or lying position, difficulty speaking, difficulty chewing, difficulty swallowing, choking, or gagging, blurred vision, or difficultymaintain gaze.

Treatment

The main goal of treatment is to identify and treat any tumors or other underlying disorders.Plasmapheresis, where blood plasma was removed and replaced with a liquid, can improve symptoms.

Prednisone or other drugs that suppress the immune response may improve symptoms in some cases. Drugs can also include anticholinesterase medications such as Neostigmine or Pyridostigmine.
