Description:

Dalah Nateglinide oral diabetes drug that helps mengotrol blood sugar levels. This drug helps the body to respond better to insulin produced by the pancreas. Other diabetes drugs sometimes used in combination with nateglinide, if necessary.

Indications:

To treat diabetes mellitus type 2 (non-insulin-dependent).

Dose:

120 mg by mouth (orally) three times daily, 10-30 minutes before lunch

Patients with HbA1c treatment target: 60 mg by mouth (orally) three times daily, 10-30 minutes before eating.

Implementation:

Dosing only be done before eating.

Side Effects:

Hypersensitivity, hypoglycemia, weight gain.

May encourage the emergence of adverse GI reactions.

Special Instructions:

Should not be given to patients with DKA, patients with or without coma.
