Description:

Nicardipine is a group of drugs including calcium channel blockers that work in a way to relax (widen) blood vessels, which makes the heart pump more easily and reduce his workload.

Indications:

Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina.

Dose:

Regular Giving:

Given doses of 10-20 mg by mouth (orally), as many as three times a day.

Dose may be added up to 20-40 mg by mouth (orally), as many as three times a day.

Providing continued:

By mouth (orally) 40 mg, as much as two times a day.

Side Effects:

CV effects (depression of cardiac function, hypotension, worsening heart failure, edema, bradycardia), GI effects (constipation); CNS effects (headache, dizziness).

HR regulate calcium antagonists (such as diltiazem, verapamil Gallopamil &); decomposition of AV, AV block, bradycardia and sinus disorders stem.

Brief interactions dihydropyridine agents should be avoided because it heightens the potential risk of worsening heart condition.

Special Instructions:

Berkontra-indications in patients who clearly suffered a loss of heart failure, although vasoselective dihydropyridine (such as Amlodipine, Felodipine) can survive in patients with decreased LVEF.

HR berkontra regulating calcium antagonist-indications with patients with bradycardia, sinus disorders stem & AV nodal block.
